MOBILITY MATTERS EXHIBITION
Photographer David Lubarsky focused his lens on the human side of commuting as commissioned by MetroPool. Forty images were selected from hundreds that were taken over the course of six months to create Mobility Matters, a body of work that provides a record of interactions between commuters, the private moments found in public places and the feelings of both community and isolation that coexist among the crowds that await trains, buses and pedestrian crossings.
This exhibit was developed jointly with funding from the Connecticut and New York State Departments of Transportation to encourage efforts to improve the quality of life and support the economic vitality of the region through commuter mobility programs that encourage the use of train, bus, shuttles, vanpools, carpools, biking, walking and telecommuting.
